Partnering with Agrivida
Agrivida's technology creates value across the supply chain for renewable fuels, chemicals, and bioproducts. Scientific research and development implementing the GreenGenes™ technology is being pursued by Agrivida, alone and in collaboration with others for product or process development, with the goal of facilitating the production of alternative fuels, ethanol, pharmaceuticals, biochemicals, chemicals, biochemicals for food processing, agrichemicals, animal feeds, and other products. The company is commercializing its technology and products through alliances with seed and germplasm developers, enzyme companies, and processors, as well as fuel and chemical companies. Alliances may include licenses to use Agrivida's genetically engineered plants in producing alternative fuels, including butanol, ethanol, and others.
In addition, there are a number of applications of Agrivida's intein-switch technology, such as biopharmaceutical production in plants, that are outside of its focus. Use of the technology for these applications is available for licensing. These applicaitons include producing pharmaceuticals,biochemicals, chemicals, biochemicals for food processing, agrichemicals, and animal feeds.
